Electile Dysfunction

Electile Dysfunction : the inability to become aroused over any of the choices for president put forth by either party in the 2008 election year.

Some love the gamesmanship, some love the partisanship. Some love the smack talk, some, well, create the smack talk.

Regardless where you fall on the political spectrum, the next two weeks (Dem and GOP Conventions, sports fans) will be full of pomp (and pompous assess) & circumstance (and circular logic). Somewhere in there though is the serious business of political operations.

When there is a vote to be made (and a bill to be presented in the first place), will your elected official represent your interests? If not, your choices are:

  • Put YOUR name on a ballot
  • Vote the bugger out while voting in the dude or dudette that you do like.

I know there are straight ticket sheep party followers out there, I just don't see the point. I don't know of any married people that believe in 100% of what their spouse believes so why would someone support 100% of what some slick talking politico and their party believes?

So the run up to the Presidential Election begins. I doubt I will weigh too heavily in on the topic except for moments of extreme absurdity. If I have something of value to add to the conversation, I likely will.

If Until that happens, enjoy the festivities and don't forget the importance of knowing how and when to separate the wheat from the chaff... it matters.....

Absolutely love the title of this post! There was a time when I was a party voter. Not so much any more. Seems with all of the special interest money floating about, no one really represents their party anyway. *shrugs*

I knew there was a name for my ailment. I have electile disfunction! I've had it from the very first day!
So what do you do when you are ho-hum about both candidates? Dont vote at all or do the eeny, meeny, miney,mo thing? You could do a coin toss, but who do you pick to be heads or tails? I guess the candidate being the biggest ass could be tails. :)
What to do , what to do?
